A new way to enjoy the sea,
from a seaside kominka.

Iwai-bukuro, Kyonan Town. A traditional Japanese house perched on a hill overlooking a small fishing port has been lovingly restored as a marine activity base where you can experience the full charm of the ocean.

Quiet moments spent beneath the massive exposed beams of a historic building, and thrilling activities in the beautiful sea stretching out before you. PORT CLUB is a place that offers both.

Exploring Ukishima.

Beyond the sea stretching out from PORT CLUB, the uninhabited island of Ukishima rises from the water, surrounded by dramatic cliffs. This small island — roughly 780 meters around and 60 meters high — is home to pristine evergreen forest and the Ukishima Shrine, dedicated to the legendary "god of cooking."

On our cruise, we circle the island and venture into sea caves carved by the waves. Peer through a box scope into the crystal-clear depths, watch sunlight stream through rocky archways — these are moments you can only find here.

Cruise approaching sea cave

Private Cruise + Underwater Observation

Enjoy a private cruise aboard a staff-operated boat through beautiful waters. Using a "box scope" for underwater observation, even children and non-swimmers can safely enjoy the experience without getting their face wet.

No special preparation or change of clothes needed. Join casually before or after checkout, or between sightseeing stops. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing.
